My wife loves this rain jacket. She takes a lot of walks around the neighborhood and when it is cool, she always wears this on top just in case a shower comes up. When it is warmer, she ties it around her waist. She also takes it with her on long bike rides and mountain hikes because she can roll it up and stuff it in a bag.
With the wear she gives these rain jackets, they only last a few years (they can get torn when hiking by snagging on limbs/thorns), then she buys another one and puts the old one (repaired with packing tape - cheapskate!) in the back of the car for emergencies.
